We are excited to be planning a missions trip to Uganda in early 2010, to build the first stages of a hospital that will help acid burn victims, HIV positive people, and the thousands of poor who cannot access medical help in this country.
Frank and Michele Heyward www.comeuganda.org have been based in Uganda for 10 years, and in that time have built three schools, planted over 29 churches, saved thousands of orphaned children, and ministered to many thousands of sick and ill people. The work they do goes largely unnoticed…until today!
Everything we do with the children who make Christmas River home is being repeated in countries throughout the world. Simple people who love God, wanting to show that love in practical ways and love His people…no matter colour, race or religion.
We are such a blessed nation (anyone not living in a third world country is RICH).
My You Tube link does not seem to be working, so if you would like to view the promo forthe trip, please go to www.youtube.com.au and type in the search bar Uganda Building Trip 2010.
Blessings,
Shani

Hi Kathy,
Great to hear from you…hope you are well and life is blessed!
Our church is heading up this missions team, and each participant payes their own way (airfares, accommodation, meals etc). My husband is a builder, and is looking for tradesmen to join him. they are looking to leave early January and be there for about 3 weeks. Currently, cost estimates are about $4,000 AUS. I’m sure Frank & Michele would appreciate teams from anycountry, so if it’s something your church might be interested in, then by all means send them an email to michele@comeuganda.org.
I’m going to be hosting another christmas open house this year, hopefully it will do well and the money raised will go towards funding the trip.
Bless you heaps,
Shani

Hi Shani ,I really like what your husband is doing ,sometimes organizations that sponsor mission trips spend way to much time organizing etc. and don’t accomplish much other than a trip. My son Aaron is really interested, hes the hardest working 18 year old you can find. Would Rick want a solo helper from over here? Hes been all over and has a huge heart for missions. Let me know. Thanks and have an awesome day!! Kathy

Hi Kathy, We would love to have Aaron on board.I am not able to email you privately, but if you could send an email to the address you have for me, I will give you the details as they come to hand. WE are meeting in the next couple of weeks to firm up dates, flights etc. Very excited to make this an international missions trip!!
Love Shani
